Shortly, gmail accepts mail from gmail. Reverse is also true. That's
not what I would call 'reliable'. And see below.

The sad real-life story (one skipped above) was about NNTP but SMTP.
However, turning back to mail, I've developed quite short list (that
works for me, caveat emptor)

checking spam-trap (I call it 'twit') daily provided. Filtering
web-mail (those are hackable <form>s mostly) isn't that easy. Look,
