я вот на базе этого места xorg.conf строю:
к 1024 можно добавить своего чего (бо я выше нифига не вижу на элт 17)
HorizSync 31-60 - мин и макс частоты строчной в кгц
VertRefresh 60-75 75гц можешь иенять на что надо (меня 75гц устраивают)
есно видюха и сам монитор тоже по месту
